Online Report
& Microsite.
The online annual report extends the printed document — or replaces it. Responsive, accessible, fast-loading. With animated KPIs, interactive infographics and a navigation optimised for how investors, employees and partners actually read digital content.
One design system.
Two publication channels.
Annual Design develops print and online versions from one shared design system. This is not adaptation — it is parallel development. The typographic system, the infographic language, the colour palette and the editorial content are shared; their implementation is channel-specific. The result is two coherent publications rather than a PDF converted into a website.
Animated KPIs and interactive infographics
The online report offers what print cannot: data that responds to the reader. KPIs that count up as they scroll into view. Charts that can be filtered and explored. Infographics that reveal additional layers on interaction. Annual Design develops these interactions as extensions of the editorial narrative — not as technical demonstrations, but as ways of making the content more accessible.
Responsive across all devices
Annual reports are read on everything from a 27-inch monitor to a phone screen. Annual Design builds online reports that perform on every device: typography that scales without breaking, navigation that works on touch, tables that remain readable on small screens, video that loads without delay. Performance is designed in from the start, not optimised at the end.
Accessibility as standard
Annual Design builds online reports to WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This includes semantic HTML structure, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility and alternative text for all images and infographics. Accessibility is not a checklist item — it is part of what makes a professional digital publication.
AI optimisation: visibility for AI search
AI systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini index and cite web content. Annual Design optimises online reports specifically for these AI crawlers: machine-readable structured HTML, meaningful heading hierarchy, clear marking of KPIs and facts, and an llms.txt file for explicit AI permissions. The report is found not just by search engines but becomes a cited knowledge source in AI-generated answers.
The same rigour applies to print PDFs: accessible PDF structure with correct tags, bookmarks, alternative texts and machine-readable metadata — securing accessibility and simultaneously improving extractability for AI systems.
